Course description

In this course we are going to learn some of the basics knowledge which has been using in IT. 
Information technology (IT) is the use of computers, networks, and software to store, retrieve, process, and protect data. The core pillars of IT include physical hardware, operational software, structured data management, and secure communication networks.

Hardware and Software

·  Hardware: The physical parts like the CPU, memory (RAM), and input/output devices.

·  Systems Software: Operating systems like Windows or Linux that manage hardware.

·  Application Software: Programs like word processors or web browsers built for users.

·  Binary Base: Computers process everything using 1s and 0s (on and off electrical states).

Networks and the Internet

·  Local Area Networks (LAN): Connect devices in a single office or home.

·  Wide Area Networks (WAN): Connect large networks across cities or countries.

·  The Internet: A massive global network linking smaller networks together.

·  Cloud Computing: Storing and running programs on remote internet servers instead of local drives.

Data and Security

·  Data vs. Information: Raw numbers become meaningful information after processing.

·  Databases: Organized systems used to store and query large sets of data.

·  Cybersecurity: Tools like firewalls, antivirus programs, and passwords used to block threats
